Rishab met both his cousins Aditya and Nikhil after 3 years. They all went out together for shopping for toys.
They had great fun in choosing the toys.

As part of our Houston trip for Christmas 2014, we had planned to visit Anuj’s home. We met them on 28th Dec. Kids played so nicely and we had great time bonding with our long time friends.
I just wish good times like this last longer. I am sure we all wished the same.
Recently we went out for a weekend getaway with Satish’s family. Found this beautiful roadside spring bloom. We stopped by to get some photos.
Rishab and Rohan had a wonderful time together running around the these flowers.
These are natural spring blooms on roadside. No one takes care of them but surely people like us love to watch them while passing by and click a snap or two when we can.
Rohan Byali was running around and having the most fun as usual. Rishab and Rohan were super excited to go around this bluebonnet field as far as they wanted to go. First picture shows how far they went on their own 🙂
Texas spring blooms are some of the most attractive ones and a recent music album of Salena Gomez’s video “Come and get it” was pictured in one of such bluebonnet patches.
San Antonio has a very nice wild life ranch safari. You can drive through the safari full of animals. They also have a animal petting area. Kids just love to spend lot of time there.
This sheep was very furry and left some fatty substance on our hands. Rishab was surprised to see how soft it was.
Lamas are very pretty animals resembling camels and are much prettier than camels. Lamas often appear in “Go Diego Go” cart0on, Rishab was excited to see live Lamas.
This baby Emu was quietly sitting in one corner and then it woke up and walked away.
This black goat wasn’t happy to see Rishab; perhaps it wasn’t pleased to see his batman cape and tried to scare him away.
Rishab concludes “Black goats are always mad at kids..!”.
Like all boys, Rishab loved trains. His 2nd year birthday had a Thomas train on the cake. He had seen large real trains and he had toys too.
Now he saw something inbetween his toy trains and real trains the mini trains. We visited Zube park in Hockley, Texas to show him these mini model trains. This park had many mini trains that included steamers and locomotives and we could ride on them.
Although kids of all age enjoy these model trains, its particularly interesing for toddlers and less than 5 years kids (rest of them may feel too grownup for these kinds of rides). These trains are are avilable for public rides only once a month. So check their schedules if you plan to visit.
Rishab always loved to eat strawberries so it was time for us to show him how they are grown. We did not have any you pick strawberry farms in Louisiana. Texas has plenty of them and we visted one before the season got over (Its just another 2-3 weeks). This was the first time we ever visited a Strawberry Farm. Rishab was all excited to visit strawberries farm and was anxiously waiting.
Alvin is a small town towards south of Houston. Froberg farm in Alvin grows corn, blueberries, strawberries and and some of vegitables. It was a 35 miles drive for us. Scattered coulds made the day more beautiful.
After a brief intro on strawberry picking, we were on our own. Rishab ate lots n lots of strawberries and picked a few good ones. We all felt that the strawberries were lot more jucier and tasty than what we tasted so far.
This farm had a small farmer’s market with their farm grown fresh vegitables. This farm also has swings, trees and park area where kids and family can spend time.
Overall its a very good break from Houston’s busy life and a nice place to spend some time with family during weekend. We would surely visit this farm again to taste these strawberries.
Rishab visited LSU Campus @ Baton Rouge today. This is one of the best university campus in Louisiana. Tiger is their official mascot and they have a live tiger in their campus.
Read all about mike the LSU mascot on wiki. We couldnt get a good glimpse or photo of the live tiger as he was sleeping in the shade.
