Visiting Taza chocolate factory

Rishab visited Taza chocolate factory in Somerville, MA. This factory makes organic, stone ground chocolate in round shapes. Taste was also distinctly textured.

Rishab and Pragnya watched all their factory equipment and learnt the process of making chocolate from cacao to bars.

These chocolates are made in various flavors including some spicy flavors. We liked tasting most of their varieties.

Its a cool breeze.. a spring song by Rishab

Its spring time again I went out with Rishab for an evening walk.

Spring time..

Spring time..

I just asked him to do whatever he wishes to and went on to click some pics of the flowers around. He started singing this song slowly. I asked him to continue singing and recorded it.

He is so sweet when he is just Rishab.

Prospect hill park, Waltham, MA

Rishab and I often go to Prospect hill park located in Waltham, MA. This view from the top often energizes me. Fall season made it all the more beautiful.

Not just the view from the top but also the path that leads there is equally beautiful.

Soccer field Waltham, MA

This soccer field in Waltham, MA on Trapello road is newly created and we hardly see any activity yet. While we were waiting for our friends, me and Rishab thought of checking it out.

Artificial grass over this soccer field felt very nice. I wonder why so many people spend so much of time maintaining their lawn & spray pesticides.

Chasing a turkey @ Waltham, MA

I took Rishab to my office on a holiday and we had to stay outside for some time. Meanwhile we spotted a Turkey resting nearby with her eyes closed. We went near it quietly.

It was fun for Rishab to follow my instructions and quietly move towards the turkey without waking her up. We went as close as we could and then Rishab couldn’t control his laughter. Turkey woke up and started walking away.

Rishab followed and soon they both started running around the trees. Turkey seemed to like being chased by a kid. It got tired after some time and flew away.

Houston Air show

Wings Over Houston Airshow is one of the top five airshows in the US, featuring civilian, modern military, and vintage warbird demos.

It was a spectacular display of airplanes. Rishab also got to get inside most of those planes.

This was my 2nd air show after India’s Airshow in Bangalore.

Hamilton pool nature preserve – Texas

One of my friend in India forwarded an email with world’s most beautiful places to visit before you die. While scrolling through that list, i found Hamilton Pool nature preserve which was in Texas. Planned to visit it multiple times but ended up visiting it now. This was 3.5 hours drive from our home. The drive felt farther than we thought as it wasn’t one strait road.

This was Rishab’s first true hiking. He has done it before but always daddy and mommy picked him up, this time he hiked on his own and guided us with his map.
its a very nice 0.5 miles hiking down hill to reach the pool. I am sure it will be prettier in spring.

Water in this pool is always 10 degrees less than the outside temperature (as most part of the pool is covered) It was too cold water for me to try swimming, Rishab did swim a little bit. However there were some brave souls who were swimming in that freezing water along with their 3 year old girl.

We explored all parts of the pool but didn’t dare to stand below the water fall.

Conclusion: It was not as pretty as i saw in that picture, Looks like lot more trees have grown around the pool preserve. Its definitely a nice place to visit in Hot summer. Get your pool gears and its a nice place to spend a day. Check the website & their office for weather and water condition.
